I think that the collaboration that goes on in the tumblr community depends on the interests of the other users in the community. Some things that I have searched before didn’t have many posts by people for example duck diapers. Some things like The Hunger Games would have a lot of posts all over it about it, making fun of it, praising it, comics of it, and anything relating. You can really talk about anything on tumblr and as long as someone else takes an interest in it also, then the posts can continue on to that topic of interest.
Prompt 1
I think that social networks have changed the way people communicate with each other. For a lot of people it is easier to write out exactly how they feel instead of having to confront someone about something that is bothering you. You can write on people’s walls on facebook to comment on something that they post, and you have the option to delete before that person sees it if you change your mind about what you wanted to say or joke about. Some people talk to each other on a social network yet they don’t talk to those “friends” they talk to in person when they see them. I think that sometimes it confuses people about whether or not you are really friends because there are a lot of people that will add you to be your friend and only talk to you when they are bored.
